Senior Analytics Engineer (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities

JTL is one of the leading providers of e-commerce software in the German-speaking region – with around 450 employees across the corporate group and more than 50,000 customers from a wide range of industries. We develop scalable, flexible solutions for the online retail of the future – from ERP systems through to shop and marketplace integrations.

As a dedicated and flexible team, we supply the JTL Group with data and lay the foundation for data-driven decisions. As a central interface, we turn distributed raw data into meaningful insights and place our focus on data quality and transparency. In addition to our internal Cloud Data Platform, we also want to develop dedicated products for our customers and deliver real added value. This is exactly where you take on responsibility for the strategy and implementation of the data core.

• You structure raw data from JTL-Wawi into clean, documented data models on which products and analyses can reliably build
• You are responsible for the data foundation of our new AI-powered BI product and further data projects within the team
• You improve query performance and data quality so that customer-facing dashboards stay fast and up to date
• You work closely with development, product and pilot customers and translate business requirements into robust data models

What you bring

• You have several years of hands-on experience in the data field and quickly and independently get to grips with new, complex data structures
• You work confidently with SQL and Python and have already built complex data models with high requirements for data quality and availability
• You bring experience in the BI/analytics field and know how to turn data into understandable dashboards and real value
• You translate business requirements into technical concepts and communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• You combine careful work with the ability to deliver results pragmatically and efficiently.
• You communicate fluently in German and confidently in English

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of a transformation framework such as dbt
• Basic knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning
• Experience with data from ERP or inventory management systems
• Experience with Azure or comparable cloud data infrastructure
• Understanding of multi-tenant data architectures
